David Bellamy described the site as one of his “paradise parks". Holands Wood is situated within easy walking distance to Brockenhurst village centre and the popular picnic spot of Balmer Lawn, by the Lymington River. Dogs are very welcome  here. Because Denny Wood is situated right in the heart of the New Forest it is popular with walkers and cyclists alike. You can cycle to nearby Lyndhurst (using forest paths nearly all the way) or if you prefer to walk, it’s just a half-hour to the village which has a good range of restaurants, shops and pubs. In addition, picturesque Brockenhurst, which has a wide range of shop and amenities, is just a short drive away. There are no toilets, showers or electricity so it is essential that you bring your own chemical toilet. With lots of local attractions and close to picturesque villages and thriving seaside towns, Holmsely is the ideal campsite for people with a range of interests. An open campsite, surrounded by ancient trees on all sides, and sitting next to a large heathland. Longbeech Campsite, New Forest, Fritham, Hampshire, SO43 7HH

Either way there are beautiful  views across the campsite. Deer and New Forest ponies are regular visitors to the site. Running through the site is a small network of narrow concrete roads, dating back to world war II, but the green water tower that served the airfield has been dismantled although other remnants of the original airfield still remain. Longbeech has direct access to beautiful heathland and forest walks, as well as the New Forest cycle route. Just a short drive away is the village of Fritham with its thatched cottages, gorgeous lake and ducks. This peaceful campsite is good for walkers and cyclists alike who can enjoy the many footpaths and cycle paths through the forest.  A short cycle ride will take you to Deer viewing at Bolderwood. The campsite is a short drive from the local shop at Bramshaw and the Royal Oak pub in Fritham is around a 30 minute walk away. The Roundhill amenities were refurbished in 2008 and there is a large rally field available for organised events.
